Travel document

I need some help with filling out the application form for applying travel document. Section 17 of the Form asks about absence outside Canada while employed by a Canadian Business. I am employed in Canada currently and will be an employee during my vacation in India. Does that mean I need to fill this section? Also, there is a section 16 for absence while accompanying a PR outside Canada. Does that mean both me and my wife need to fill each other's name in this section? I was the principal applicant on my PR application.
