Hey guys

I applied for a travel document and it was sent back to me after I made sure that nothing was missing and that it was sent to the correct address.

In the rejection notice, they requested a Proof of a Canadian Citizenship
  • Certificate of Canadian Citizenship
  • Certificate of Naturalization
So I called to clarify, they said that my application must have processed as a Candian Passport. UGH!!!

Now, I have to send it again, pay another time for the shipping, and wait another 20 business days, and I wouldn't be surprised if they would process it mistakenly as a Health card this time.

Has anyone had this issue before?

What address did you send it to? I always thought the VAC (Visa Application Centres) you send PR TD app to, is completely different from where you send passport apps so no idea how IRCC would make that mistake.

Hey Rob, thanks for your inputs. I used the correct address and confirmed over the phone with :
  • 200 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau QC J8X 4B7
  • And, the application I used: "Adult Travel Document Application for stateless and protected persons in Canada"

In the rejection notice, it says that I should send it to a different address:

Passport Program
22 de Varennes Street
Gatineau QC J8T 8R1

:-(

Sorry I thought you were talking about a PR Travel Document, which is not the case.

It happened to me the first time I sent my application and when I called to clarify, it was the UPS delivery guy's fault who delivered the package to the wrong address (the citizenship department) not immigration. I sent it again and wrote a BIG note on the package to be delivered to Immigration, and it finally delivered to the right address.

Yeah bro they can be really horrible .
They sent back my application the first time because who ever pulled the papers out of the envelope didn't check for the photo inside and threw the envelope away, sent it back to me saying I didn't have the photograph .complete mess
