travel back home with some medicine for parents

hi guys i am just wondering if it is okay to travel with pain relief medicines for my parents
back home without any problems from the custom i bought some med from over the counter
it is not a prescription from the doctor the pharmacy said it would be okay but i am no sure do any of you have
ideas if it is okay. thanks

Going to Nigeria I always had vitamins and over-the-counter meds with me, as well as a lot of prescription meds. They never searched my bags or asked me anything about it.
