Hi all,

So I received my PPR today just 4 months after my AOR. My question is now if it is possible for me to travel to Canada now without landing immediately? I have a few trips planned in summer but would like to land only later this year.

Does anyone know?

Thanks!

You must land before the date on the COPR - it's usually the expiry date of your medicals (they're valid for 12months) or the expiry data of your passport, whichever comes first.

Thanks Scottygirl!

So this basically means that I don't have to land the very first time I travel to Canada after receiving PR, right? (As long as I land before expiry of my medicals, of course.)

Yes, don't have your COPR signed yet by an officer. I am guessing you are from a visa-exempt country.

That's correct, I'm from Belgium.

Thanks for the info!!
