Dear friend,

My original marriage certificate and birth certificate is in my local language (Not Englsh or French). For this I have a english translation done by a sworn translator.

However I noticed on the canada website the following:
If a supporting document is in a language other than English or French, the applicant must provide IRCC with:

  • the English or French translation; and
  • an affidavit from the person who completed the translations; and
  • a certified photocopy of the original document.
What is the affidavit from the person who completed the translation. What should I do? is this madatory?

Thanks

This is not the way translations are done for Canada IRCC.

You have to go with listed certified translator. Go with https://3ade.in/

They will provide you all the necessary documents along with translation
