Translation of emails, chat history - sworn translator needed for that?

Hello everyone,

We are about to send our application but it's just this question that eats me up. Have any of you had your emails, chats or text messages translated by a sworn translator?? I translated them myself thinking that those are unofficial documents. Please share your experience, I am freaking out!!! :'(

I had a couple of things that I didn't get translated. One was the receipt from the resort we stayed at during our honeymoon and another was that we had like 20 western union receipts that were in Spanish. I just copied one of the receipts and labelled the important things like sent from, sent to, amount sent, amount received, date, etc.

I also heard of other people who translated their own emails and letters and they included a cover page or something saying that if it were necessary they could have them translated by a certified translator at a later date.
