Translation of documents

Hello guys,
I have a question about translation of documents when applying for sponsorship.
Do birth certificate,police certificate,my passport and labor book(that is a requirement for my country) need to be translated into English and certified?or just translated but no certification required?

I translated and certified all the supporting documents for my spouse. Why risk delays?

All of ours were by a certified translator so it was two birds with one stone and no worries about delays.

Happy to help. Ours were certified by a translation bureau, I didnt certify it myself. Just to be clear.

Mrlucky one more thing:do you recommend to translate and certify documents here in Canada or back in country of origin? In my home country they do not do affedivit as it is required

Make sure to go to a qualified translator plus a notary translator because they want a stamp

The rules are clear:
Use either a provincially certified translator without any notaries
Or use anybody that you like as a translator + a notary noting down a statement from the translator that the translation is accurate (Translation bureau would do exactly this).

This post is incorrect when you are translating required documents. They must be translated by a certified translator regardless of the country and notarized.
