Hi everyone,

I'm a temporary resident in Canada, and I've recently got my PR application approved: at the moment I'm waiting for the CoPR to proceed with the landing process. I'm also a dual citizen, currently I work in Canada as a citizen of country A, but I'll be landing as a PR based on my passport of country B. The spelling of my last name is slightly different in two passports, hence my PR card and other documents will be issued on a different name then my current Canadian documents (e.g. driver's license, banking cards, etc.). I realize it'll be a tough process changing my name everywhere, but that's what I'd like to do regardless. I'm curious if anyone has gone through the same experience: what are the things one has to be aware of, and if there are any tips to make the process less painful?

Thanks,
Egor

Why change names everywhere? What's the pain for keeping?

I prefer the spelling in country B's passport, plus it's a visa-exempt country, which country A is not - hence I won't need to submit the passport for stamping.
