Hi all,

I'm currently in the US on F1- OPT(Master of Science) and will begin full-time employment the next month.
I've previous worked in my home country as a Data Analyst for 1.5 years (1 year full-time and 1 year part-time)
I've even interned full time as a Data Analyst in the US for 8 months and Part-time for 4 months.

I'm now planning to apply for express entry and wanted to know if I stand a chance to be selected in the express entry pool
And also how early should one begin if he/she plans to move within the next 8-10 months.

If you want to move to Canada in the next 8-10 months, you need to apply immediately. It's quite possible it may take longer than that depending on how many points you have and how long it takes you to be selected - as well as your file to be processed. You are short on time.

Whether you stand a chance of being selected depends on the number of points you have. If you haven't already, you need to take the English language test (IELTS) as soon as possible. You can't apply without having the test results.

Thanks a lot @scylla,

I plan to take IELTS in the next month and based on my TOEFL conversion I'm assuming that I can score a 7.5 on each section.

What bothers me as of now is if my work experience is good enough to keep up with others in the pool.

Thanks

Again, what matters is how many points you have overall.

I had a quick question,

Do we need to apply for PNP after receiving the ITA or before that ?
There is not point in applying for PNP after ITA. People usually apply for PNP to increase their CRS score because an nomination from a province gives you 600 points and a sure shot invitation in the next draw. So to answer your question, if you think you are falling short in CRS score, then apply for PNP before ITA. Check out the Provincial Nomination Program Immigration forum once.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I am yet to get an ITA and this is my understanding as of now. I might be wrong.
