I received my IEC port of entry letter for the Working Holiday Visa and as a German citizen, I can only stay for 12 months.
My girlfriend, a French citizen and about to receive her port of entry letter, can stay 24 months in Canada.
We got an ITA this summer, and we will also submit our PR application in a few weeks.
Therefore, we'll most likely receive our AOR when we're in Canada in a few months.
My question: In case the PR application is still being processed, when my IEC expires, what are my options to stay in Canada?
Can I have implied status or an open work permit?
(For context, we're also common-law, and my girlfriend would stay for two years)
