Transit Visa needed?

Hi All

We are planning to book flight tickets to Canada(Halifax) from India as we have received PR.
if we book a flight which has transit at Frankfurt or Paris or London or any other country and then we take a flight from either of the mentioned places, do we have to obtain a transit visa for Europe or UK?
we have flights from Delhi-Toranto-Halifax, Delhi-London-Toranto-Halifax, Delhi-Frankfurt-Toranto-halifax, Delhi-Paris-Toranto-halifax
should we choose a Delhi-Toranto-Halifax flight ONLY as it has transit in Toranto?
or do we have options to choose any of the flights?

For UK transit, yes you need to apply for UK Transit Visa while I believe the fee is GBP 35 per person.
