Transit visa for Vietnamese Citizens

Hello folks,

I'm Dao and I plan to visit Ecuador. I found a cheap flight that passing through Toronto Airport, thus I applied for a transit visa.

I've been working for banks for severals years. I'm engaged but not married yet. I have credit card and savings, not much but more than enough for the trip.

I've completed applying for a visitor visa online and waiting for response from Canada's authority.

I would like to know the chance for me to get approval. I don't even know if Vietnamese is infamous for doing wrong things and get denied by Canada Government or not.

Can someone enlighten me?

P.S: I go to Ecuador for a 12 days retreat in a resort at Cuenca. I have no intention to stay longer than 14 days (12 days for the retreat and 2 days to flight back and forth from Quito to Cuenca). I have their invitation letter.

If you have a stable job, ample savings, and good travel history for tourist purposes to visa-required countries outside of Asia like the US, Australia, UK, Europe, your chances are good. If you lack one of those, you're in trouble.

Anyway, since you already submitted your application, there's not much any of us can say to improve your chances.

All you can do right now is wait. It takes about 2 weeks from Vietnam, might be a bit longer because of the holidays.
