Actually I did hear from Detroit but did not know how to enter this info in the forum format (the thing that shows up on the left side of this message). Anyways, I received a request for additional documents (PPC, Employers Letter, Bank Document etc) on August 15th via regular mail. I have sent these documents to them last week. So now is a "wait and watch" period .

It was a typo, they asked for a PCC (Police Clearance Cert). Besides that they asked for proof of funds basically bank statements, tax documents (W-2), pay stubs, and employers verification letter. My guess is that every once in a while they ask to make sure we are a genuine case or something. But dont worry about it now, most of the people are not getting the document request anyways.

thanks forberta for the quick reply....why would they ask for proof of funds when it is clearly stated that provincial nominees doesnt need to provide them...doesnt make sense....

My guess is that they random pick some cases for deeper investigation. I hope this is not a future trend. Anyways dont worry about this now. Just have a good genuine case.

did they request for new police and fbi clearance? when did you submit yopur clearances...had it expired when they asked for yours ppr? Thanks...just curioius if they will ask for new clearances again.

sometimes they do and other documents too...i have a friend who was asked by the detroit ofc to provide leeter from employer, bank statements and tax forms....


looks like all visa ofc have movement recently......but havent heard anything from detroit....

No, but they did request copies of my 2009 and 2010 tax returns and all my pay slips form 2011 in early August.

Altogether the complete application took 13 months.

I just check ECAs and there was a big change in my ecas after almost a year. It says in this order:


We received your application for permanent residence on October xx, 2010.

We started processing your application on October xx, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

ANYONE HAS THE SAME EXPERIENCE? IT DID NOT SAY HOWVER WHAT IS THE DECISION? ANY THOUGHTS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
i THOUGHT THEY WILL REQUEST PPR 1ST BEFORE A DECISION? IS EVERYTHING LOOKING GOOD HERE? wHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
