Transfer program for an international student in Canada..?

I want to go to college for 2 years and then transfer to university.
Since I go to college first I will get a visa for 4 semesters and then it's expires in April (I can apply to the university only after I graduate from college)
The university will start in September the same year so there is a gap of 5 months.
Can I stay in Canada in these 5 months?

As once completing 2 years diploma program from a community college, you are entitled for now to get 3 year post study work permit. This makes you eligible to stay in Canada after completing your study, hence you can apply to another university as well same time to get admission starting September.

*The critical issue is if you can or required to change your visa from Post Study Work Permit to Study permit again.
