I'm currently employed in the US as an Emergency Medical Technician and have been for two years. By reviewing some information, I've found my level of care is approximately that of a Primary Care Paramedic. My goal is to continue to pursue this field in Canada, but I was wondering if there was a way to aquire the same level of care that I already have, without the two years of schooling (which would be redundant). If it matters, I'm looking at moving to Ottawa. Unfortunately in the US, most EMT certifications aren't considered actual degrees, so I wouldn't be able to cite that as a transfer through schools.
Basically, is there a way to immigrate with my current credentials intact?
