transcripts for 10th and 12th india??

hey guys,
i have one query regarding transcripts
i have read in this forum we should obtain traanscripts for our 10th and 12th grades.but in the appendix form for delhi its no where mentioned abt tanscripts for 10th and 12th grades,but only from degree universities.i have obtained transcripts from my degree university.i have 10th and 12th grade originals and have noterized copies of them too.are they not enough??

If it doesn't say they want it in the appendix, then you probably don't have to send it. Perhaps those applying with 10th or 12th grade are being over-cautious. And I think some people use their school report as a substitute for birthcertificate.

zeba you do not need 10th and 12th transcripts. You are right it is not mentioned in transcripts and is not required. I sent a query to ND Visa office and they said they were looking for degree transcripts only.

ankit zeba and all. Its still safe to send all your certifications including 10th 12th and onwards to Phd ( if applicable). They said post secondary, so indian standard HSC ( Higher secondary- the degree just before entering to University) or British standard "A levels" MUST be included.

So you are saying only send 12? but not 10?

yes rupesh, Ankit never guides anyone with wrong concept, neither do you.
as per Singapore Office and guide EG7. Post secondary is what they meant.
So Higher secondary, or 12th class cert they need. But My Notarypublic ppl wont charge me anything additional for notarying my O levels. so I am gonna send that too.

i have my 10th and 12th original certificates,which i will be notarizing,and will be sending them to ND.my question is should i get their transcripts,which any school and pre-university in india(karnataka)does not give in a sealed envelope,whereas a degree certificate from i.e transcript of a degree certificate is given by any university.
so my doubt waz transcripts for 10th and 12th??from where should i get them since i already have their originals.
plzz advice

This is the general rule for most of the countries that the original certs can only be issued more than once by the originally issueing authority. for me its from London. For you its your Educational Board. But as there is no option for Indian educational board to reissue originals- they certify the photocopies with their seals. Take envelopes from them and seal them by youself or request them to do it. Its slightly Different in terms of Universities. They hve a seperate scheme to issue official copies of your certs and gradesheet in sealed envelopes. they all do charge for the services.

What about us who related to CHC London office......Should we provide with 10 and 12th certificates????/
What is about original or notarized copies?

My Visa office wants the Original of all educatinal Certs. 10th 12th and College degrees.
my 10th and 12th cert issueing authrity will never issue original certs twice. I already have them. So I am gonna apply for Certified copies from the issueing authorities as certifying can only be done by people who issued this- this is in terms of Educational certs.

In 10th and 12th, Transcripts are often called as mark sheets. Why wouldnt there be any? you do get A B C etc grades and those are written on papers called Transcripts or marksheets.

Lou, Download the Visa office spec instruction guide and read there requirment about your query.

Hi,

You have already been given the advice so do not know how much will this help. Kindly note and read the instruction guide carefully and just follow it. As per the guide,

- Send 10th & 12th - Notarized photocopies of Mark sheets and certificates
- Send Transcripts of Degree for Graduation and post graduation if any.

The above mentioned is more than enough. Transcripts is usually a certificate given by the University to validate the course the applicant passed. It may include marks, credits, time taken to complete and total marks and status which is pass or fail. Here in India as far as I know, usually there are boards like CBSE, ICSE and not universities for 10th and 12th so only attested mark sheet and certificate would do but for degree's since issued by a university should be transcripts.


Now always give as asked as per the checklist so as to avoid more cautious checks and scrutiny by the Visa Officer.
