I just applied for a restoration on my study permit. cos I accidentlly lost it and missed the expiry date..
I see some ppl in the forum says we need to submit the transcript or report card too..but I didnt ...is that necessary?? I am so afraid that I will get rejected...

they usually ask for it via email when something is missing when you are already in Canada (in cases like yours while looking for extension of study permit). and yes it's required to submit transcript of your last semester/s.

Cheers!

aww.that's bad...I thought only school letter of acceptance is find.
cos I applied online and they didn't even mention that I need to upload a transcript.. :(
anyways,thank you

You are not required to submit transcripts when applying for extension/restoration of your study permit. An acceptance letter or confirmation of registration is what they are asking to upload according to the checklist. Just follow the instructions, if additional documents are required CIC will contact you.

You don't need transcripts for restoration of status.

I have been trying to post last night and some fr strange reason couldn't . Anyway I checked the cic, yeah transcript not required , but have seen some students applying with it. And moreover even if something is missing or incorrect , usually they ask for it via email so nothing to worry. Wish u luck. Cheers.

Thanks Sabby...
I read some old posts in this forum and It seems hopeless...most of people says at least 2 months:(

Hi,

My friend got this status restored few days back.
It took 14 weeks for him.
So wait till 14 weeks, You'll be good.

Good Luck.

I only have 4 weeks...
if I cant go back to school on Sept I wont be able to graduate this year...awww...I really want to kill myself now...
I am so stupid..how can I let this happen..:(

What's done is done, you cannot turn time back. You'd better not hope for early restoration, prepare to wait for about four months, because this is how long it takes to have one's status restored at the moment. Just be thankful that you can go back to your studies even though you have to wait till the winter semester.

Consider the privilege given by Canadian Immigration to keep you without status.
Just wish that you get the status restored.

I hope you're not working on SIN.

Enjoy the summer.
