I'm a fully time served carpenter from Scotland with 20yrs experience and have certificates from my time as an apprentice namely (Scotvec & Advanced City & Guilds). I'm thinking seriously about applying for PR but am a bit concerned about whether my qualification will be recognised by potential employers or if i will need to sit any other types of tests. I would also like to know if there are any other obsticles i may have to overcome, eg health & safety cards or such like that may prevent me from finding employment. My current line of work at the moment as a carpenter is mainly in specialised office partitioning and I would be very greatful if anyone could tell me the names of any potential employers in the Toronto area who specialise in this line of work.
