A friend of mine received his passport with the immigration visa today and it only took 13 days.

Not mine! I have tried another MP and he returned to me in less than 10 minutes with the answer that they only do have access to information based on postal code and regarding emails I sent to my MP he added: "As the House isn’t sitting at the moment, it’s possible the Ottawa office is shut down, or on reduced hours, and that’s where your message likely went if you e-mailed the main account. Try contacting them at the riding office."

I did so, yet my MP doesn't bother to do anything.

I'm anxiously waiting for August 21st, the deadline mentioned on the GCMS notes for my application to be finally assigned to someone. Hope something happens then.

What's your timeline? Also, what do your GCMS notes say under "criminality", "eligibility" and "security"?

I am March applicant.... Application received on March 23, 2012. Started processing on April 29, 2013....

Criminality shows in progress (although the due date shows as 2013/04/18)
Eligibility shows as passed
Security the status is blank (I guess they have not started working on it yet)
Medical shows as passed

Our cases are very similar, and the exact same status according to GCMS.

Hopefully soon! I've seen 2-9 weeks.

Seems like lots of people got DM today, just like last time lots of people got IP.
Do we have to wait for another long period??!!

same here! a "decision made" line was added to my e-cas status today. i hope we receive the ppr soon.

Congratulations to everyone with PPR and DM status. Finally feels great to see things moving this fast..hope they maintain the speed until they r done processing the backlog files.

Hi Guys, good news...I contacted my MP again last week to see if he can give me a status update. He came back and said CIC informed him my application was approved on August 7th and that CIC will contact me with 'landing information' in the next 4-6 weeks. My ecas status also changed to Decision Made yesterday. So fingers crossed I don't have to wait much longer.

Woohoo Congrats Josie! I have been checking my Ecas status everyday and yesterday it changed to Decision Made. So lets see how long it takes to hear from CIC! Has you ecas changed to decision made too?

Hi Josie, Congrats first Mine changed to decision made yesterday, too. So MP told you that CIC will contact you with "landing information" 4-6 weeks from August 7th? Or from yesterday?
