My Passport was received by Ottawa on Oct 7 and I received it back with the PR Visa Stamped on Oct 22. Landed successfully on Oct 26.

Hi guys,

I need your advise!
I need to come back to Canada as soon as possible due to some circumstances in my life. My visa and WP expired since May 2013. So I cannot apply for the bridging WP program. Only PR is a hope to come back. However, I still have a job in Canada, but now I work outside of Canada.

How do you think is there any chances to get visa as tourist to come to Canada? Will it impede my PR immigration process?
Waiting is killing a lot. Moreover, I got my GCMS notes saying that they haven't even started security! So, I feel like it can take muuuch longer when I expected...

Your advise will be much appreciated!

for me, its really amazing to see how this post has grown fast.... and all the support from all the members during this hard transition that it is the inmigration process.. I guess nobody would understand how hard is it. (emotional and economical speaking). im still waiting for decision made status and PR, but I log in everyday several times just to try to help anyone with questions. I read most of the posts and to see so many people with so different situations and looking an improvement in their lives, makes me realize that Im not alone in this boat and this inmigration process is something that changes your live forever.

I really would like to thank sarayu for his enthusiasm and tracksheet that is been so helpful in the most stressful hours.

Looks like these 4 lines you posted came from the bottom of your heart. I could understand completely your and others situation (as I have been through this stage) who have been waiting for a long time. I would only say that it's worth to wait as you said, it's no doubt a very very important step in everybody's live. Just keep faith in God and continue to wait...your turn will come some time and on that day it would be like a biggest festival in your life....believe me, I felt like that....and hope everybody does.

It seems like God smiled on me!!! I wrote an email to the CIC asking about my case, they sent me a copy of a letter that I never received, dated 04 October for PASSPORT REQUEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I just sent my passport today! - the PR was on October 04, but I did't get that letter nor email about it... thank God I asked just to make sure since 06 months have passed from the Medical request. The letter said that I had 15 days to send the documents but since they sent me a copy via Email TODAY, I guess its ok to send it a little bit later.

in the other hand, Im kinda afraid of my passport traveling via Fedex to the Embassy. Anyone had problems with customs for sending the passport via Currier??


Sarayu, please udpate my info with PR on october 04 and Passport sent on october 30. I just cant describe how happy I am in this momment.. im still SHOCKED!!!!

Hi Ksoalka,

In your Situation you can try visitor visa to Canada and it should not Impact on PR Process.
But i am not sure about the visitor visa will CIC Consider to Issue Visitor visa without any solid reason.
but try to consult any consultant before taking a step.

I also send my passport on oct 3rd and recieved Ottawa on oct 4th.
I am still waiting for my passport to come back.
No tracker activated yet. I do not why cic is taking so long in my case from the beginning .
Please advise me do I have to contact them or just keep waiting.

Dear all,

Hope everyone is doing well and good to see fast progress on many cases in November group. I was hoping to received my PPR by end of September based on similar cases however it has still not arrived for some reason. Upon CSE, London VO replied that my case is in queue to be reviewed by immigration officer.

Now the problem is that it will be exactly 1 year in November when my application was sent to CIC so I'm not sure if my Police Certificates for Pakistan will remain valid when my case comes up for review. The certificates don't have an expiration date and CIC website just requires certificates to be submitted within 3 months of issuance and doesn't say anything about validity. Does anyone know about this and any suggestions in this regard, whether I should wait for London VO to ask for updated one or send one anyway.

That's good thing that you have contacted CIC...otherwise you would have never know about it. Good job.

Yes, I don't think that it causes any issue for your further processing as you already informed them that you never received any email.

Hey, have you sent them a cover letter saying that you haven't received any email from them? And also, did you send a copy of letter that you received from CPP-Ottawa? Also, make sure there was no typo error in your email address that you have given them at the very initial stage.

Honestly, I have no idea if you use FedEx. Good luck for everything.

As It's very lengthy pdf file and different from one person to another one. So, you have to go thru it completely. But honestly, due date doesn't mean anything for us...I mean it doesn't mean that you will get your PPR by that time.
