Tracking PNP November 2012 applications to CIO Nova Scotia

They received my application on November 13, 2012.

My pcc were issued
South Korea : end of Oct/2012 -->submitted when I appiled
Australia : Dec 2nd/2012---->sent Feb/2013

I dont know the vaildity of PCCs but those are issued within 6months.

PCCs must reach CIC within 3 months of issuance. Looks like your Australian PCC didn't meet CIC requirements. May have to resend those.

Who needs a police certificate?

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

@ chiefmissile - congrats on the latest update on your file - may be MR will come later but its really odd that it did not come with the RPRF request.

@ zizu - did you check your email & junk mails properly? LVO has jumped me (supa), you (zizu) and processed chiefmissile.

If LVO has responded to chiefmissile then I expect zizu to have an update too.

@ DCCMJ - did LVO ask you to pay RPRF fee?

As per information on older PNP threads, LVO was following the steps below before FSW backlog came into play. Recent LVO updates seem to follow that pattern (with the exception of mine and one more Nov applicant):

1: AOR(CIO)
2: ADR(Additional Documents Request) from CHC, London (Settlement plan, Bank Statement, ...)
3: MR(Medical Request)
4: PPR1(Passport request 1)
5: PPR2(Passport Request 2).

Yes Yes ... LVO comes out of its slumber... I also got the additional information request... they are asking for

- Items #1 and #2 listed in the attached letter (that's proof of money and a full and detailed explanation on how I will become economically established in Canada)
- Proof of you and your spouse's signatures. These must be official documents, such as copies of your passports or ID cars, which bear both a photograph and signature.
- Original police certificates from Pakistan for you and your spouse
- Original USA (FBI) certificate for yourself

Two things that have mee worred...

First they're asking for USA FBI Certificate... heck... I lived in USA for 2 years only and that too was from 1996-1998... I've left USA since then - now how in this 'lovely' world will I get the FBI certificate now?

I'm off to collecting the rest of the documents. BTW any ideas if 2000 word essay on 'full and deatiled explanation on how I will become economically established in Canada' will suffice - reminds me of my university days

I had to get a PCC from UK for living less than a year as a student but this is a CIC requirement (costed me in excess of 100 quid )

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.


Here's how to get FBI certificate as per CIC but not sure how someone can meet fingerprinting requirement from out of the US.

I did not received anything from LVO yet possibly because I wrote them a letter last month that they should transfer my file to my home country VO which is accra. It is either my file is now in transit or it is still with LVO.

No RPRF. they required Proof of fund, establishment plan and work experience.

Mate wishing you luck, but changing VO will cause a delay, as you are probably aware, but we all I am sure wish you and everyone good luck with further processing.

Yes it is strange that they have asked for RPRF before MR. All UK residents receive their MR by mail and not e-mail, so the MR might be a couple of days behind the email I received yesterday?

My email stated that my application was reviewed on 5th March and that to continue Processing they need the information requested below. So I take it that this means my application is in Process (Although not showing this on E-cas)?

Firstly, I am sorry for the late reply.

One good thing is LVO started communicating now. At the same time so much confusion...asking for the additional documents and RPRF without MRs.

Anyway, let's forget about that and try to collect/prepare the documents whatever they asked for.

So, have you already applied for your Pakistan PCC? I have got my India PCC from an Indian Consulate located in USA (since I am in USA right now). If you are staying in UK now, you may contact Pakistan Consulate in London to issue you a PCC.

Coming to your FBI Clearance Certificate from USA, whatever the period you had stayed, you will get it. Please go through the below link and follow the instructions. You may request them to provide this document at the earliest stating that you need to submit this document for your Canadian Immigration purpose by so and so date. It took about 3 weeks for me to get FBI Clearance Certificate for me and my wife. Don't worry, they should issue you this document.

Yes, you need to do the same thing as you did in your University to prepare settlement plan (hope you will get it from Google...I mean some regular formats) and that should be sufficient.

You may loose some time in your process to get all these documents and submitted to LVO...but one day you will get the results...so, be happy and do one by one.

I am also thinking that, CIO may ask for my PCCs again as I got them in Apr/May 2012 which is too old. If that's the case I will have to loose at least 6 more weeks in my processing time. Let's see what happens.
