For those who got decision made status:!!!


I should be very grateful if you could kindly inform me if you guys have two mailing and current living addresses in your account!

I believe, first off, there should have been only one address which was mailing address.

After paying my rprf on June 18th I got an email form Ottawa that I must submit a new passport with in 30 days on June 21 as the current passport was expiring in August and then with in 7 minutes I got one more email from Ottawa that they have already received my new passport copy as I had sent them the same on June 17.

After getting the 2nd email I can only think that someone in visa office picked up my file and went through it at least and after these two emails I have not heard anything yet. I dont know why they wanted my new passport at this stage (file in process on april 23 and was only give one month to arrange the new passport).

Yesterday I completed my PR landing formalities at Emerson border.
The flagpoling experience was not at all good will tell you about it in detail in sometime.

Hi Radium, I am new here, I just read your post about PR landing at Emerson border. What seems to be the problem? We are from California and we are planning to do our landing at Emerson too as soon as we get our PR visa. Is bringing our car from US to Canada is gonna be a hassle? Any suggestions guys?

Hi eml, I don't think you will have any problem in bringing your own car. Till the time you have paper work for people accompanying you at the border (who are not doing flagpoling) I believe there's no problem. Rest I've described my experience in this thread.

Sorry to see that you had some tough time. It's an experience and be little more cautious next time if you need to go for any immigration offices or any Government offices. But finally everything was fine at last. It's life and always there are some ups and downs...we need to go as they come to us. Anyway, I am happy for you to become a Canadian PR. It's party time, just forget everything about that and enjoy.

Guys, take a look at Radium's landing experience and try to have complete info before you go for landing.

Thank you Sarayu. All is well that ends well and I'm glad it is all over and Yesss I'm a PR now ;D I don't think I'll need to do this in future . Crossing the border both US-Canada side is not a difficult task just some normal questions and paperwork. That's all they ask for. I hope others might get some idea from my experience that I've posted on other thread. Good luck everyone. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns.
