Hey all, hope you are having a good day! I have been working as a barista for 2 years and a shift supervisor for 2 years so far, both part-time during school.
I was wondering how you all think about naming shift supervisor as a cafeteria cashier to apply for TR to PR pathway essential job?
A shift supervisor at Starbucks does works like a barista; completing payments with customers as a cashier, making beverages and so on. I was kind of thinking if it is appropriate? but I am doubting though because there is clearly NOC 6311 Food service supervisor on the NOC code....I am eligible except for the job category, do you all think it is worth trying? Please feel free to share!

It is the LEAD STATEMENT & DUTIES that matter. Not the JOB TITLE
So compare the JOB Duties of all NOC's that you think is suitable and choose the one that includes more duties that you did

Neither of these jobs are a match to the cashier NOC (6611).

Your supervisor role is 6311 and your barista role is 6711.

IRCC will be very familiar with Starbucks roles so I don't see any chance they will classify your work experience under 6611.

Thanks for your opinion!

Yeah, I was doubting if cashiers are suitable names for the shift supervisor...haha, thank you for your idea!
