Tourist Visa. How long you plan to stay? Confused

Planning to apply for Tourist Visa but I don't have specific date yet. In the explanation letter, I will write whenever the travel ban is lifted, I will go to Canada as tourist.

What should I write in the dates for now? Put October 2020 for now? or January 2021 is much better?

Just pick some dates. They don't hold you to it, but they want to see if the amount of time you choose - whether it be two weeks or two months - is reasonable in light of the rest of your profile.
