Tourist Visa for Parents

I am planning to have my parents come visit me this summer. I am a permanent resident. Is the 10 year tourist visa option the best/easiest for me? I don't expect them to stay for more than 3-4 months at a time.

Do I apply on their behalf or is it better for them to apply for tourist visa? They will be able to show sufficient ties to India and finances by themselves.

The validity of their visa will be decided by the visa officer who assesses their applications. There is no 10 years' visa. The maximum validity id until the validity of the passport.

Stating a visit of 3-4 months indicates flexibility to stay + no clear visit plans + no strong ties to India.

Purpose of visit: Visit family (not tourist)

You can apply as their authorized representation (IMM 5476 form) or they can apply themselves.

They must demonstrate strong ties to India in addition to their finances
