Hello,

had mixed responses. Does tourist visa denial affect spousal sponsorship?

some told me that it does. Lawyer said he charges double whenever there is any denial.

looking for answers thanks

One denial certainly won't impact the application as long as it's declared. Many refusals could have an impact.

How can I declare it if I submitted PR application before TRV? Or I shouldn’t worry about this then ?
You shouldn't worry in that case.

but are there many success stories for TRV, especially from places near Russia?
Look, there's no way anyone can tell you 'chances' in a meaningful way, except for the old '50-50' joke (either you get approved or you don't). Too individual at any rate.

I do know one thing for certain: those who never apply do not get issued TRVs. I have a track record of 100% on this.

thanks everyone. Can anyone suggest the amount of money we should show on our bank accounts? Would currency other than dollar be okay as well?

I would suggest apply your sponsorship application and then apply for TRV after that. Because that way any denials on the TRV wont be affecting your application . Much better time would be wait to get AOR and after apply TRV saying you have an application in process and spouse visiting in time being and after they are here you can change to inland application and submit your biometric and PPR from here in Canada
Regarding paying lawyers , i wouldn't suggest paying double or paying anything to them. All paper work is online easy to fill and get all proof aligned . The forum will be helpful in creating the package.

So it has no affect at all if applied for TRV after spousal? don’t they still see the case when receiving spousal application

I don't see any issue , because when you submitted application you had no denial , which you were true to all the information submitted. Have seen members here who got TRV after spouse application submission . Again TRV are case biased, so wont be 100% sure will get it.

The fact that you are married to a PR or citizen is what really impacts TRV approval for most spouses. You should assume that it will be difficult to get a TRV for a spouse of a permanent resident or citizen no matter what. Unless you are Russian or Ukrainian having citizenship from close to Russia shouldn’t have an impact on getting approval. If your spouse is Russian there would likely be a better chance of a tRV approval after submitting sponsorship approval amd getting AOR by stating that there is a fear for safety. Still far from guaranteed. I would suggest getting sponsorship application submitted as soon as possible.

As already stated there is no need to pay a consultant or a lawyer. You can submit the applications on your own. Paying double for every denial is just extortion.
