Hi Everybody,
For a reason or another, all of us has left home; and headed to Canada. I bet everybody here is feeling bored and even depressed. The weather, equalizing our credentials, and building a new life. All these issues can make anyone on earth deptessed. So, newcomers of Toronto, let's meet and be friends. Let's socialize together. We can meet and go somewhere together. You know, that may decrease the new life pressure even a little.

Landed on 10th and this post is dated 16 March, the question of "For job.. still struggling " should not be felt in 6 days. Before applying any job the priority should be to learn about Canadian job market, visit neighbourhood services and update the resume, prepare for the interview as per North American style and then apply for selective jobs. It can take more than couple of months to get 1st job in Canada. So, patience and plan to get 1st job should be the order of the day. To gain Canadian experience you may have to join some co op/ volunteering.

Plan to land in Toronto in June

You need to prove you are residing in the province, it could be either a rental agreement with your landlord, or an ontario driving license, or bank statements sent to your home address, or an ontario id...etc

The rental agreement is obviously fast as you'll be finding long term accommodation anyway. But if you'll be staying with a friend or relative you can choose to go for the G1 driver license - you'll just have to study the road rules and road signs...pass the written test, then you'll get your license 2 weeks later via postal mail. Opening a Bank account is also fast - but you'll need a few monthly statements to use them as a proof...so that one would take at least 2 months.

Anyway, once you settle here proving your residence will not be an issue.
