It depends on when you applied. If you applied when the new system was in place (before Nov 2008) or your IELTS was taken during the same period, then everything gets evaluated according to the new system. Thats just my opinion.

thanks

any one has similer case?

If you apply before Nov 28 or if the test reports are from before that, then you can go on the points scale that is advantageous to you.

when did you take the test? I am not sure if test taking date matter anyway.

But if you applied after nov 2008 and took test after that, then yes, you should apply after you get 67 points.

Since you have NOT applied yet, your IELTS scores will be based on the revised (NEW)benchmark table. You also need to know that your IELTS must NOT be older than ONE year at the time of application.

tonnyinchina.

the main point they will caluclate the score according to new system right?

its mean i have to re apply for ielts right?

They will benchmark as per new system. IELTS is valid for 2 years I guess. So if its expired then you can appear again if not then its valid.

i have the same case but i applied in 2005 and took the exam on 12-12-2009 what do you think guys? I ask them to give me 7 points!!! do think the officer will agree or not?

Thanks,

Because your application is old, even though your IELTS is new, I think you have a much better shot at being asked to be assessed according to the old rules.

my qyuestion/

i will apply next week as fast track skiled worked, and i have ielts result its valid still, but its more benefit for me if officer using according to old system becouse its more advantige but if he use it according to new system then i will fail,

any one can help me or have proof or similer case like me?

thanks
zakout

If you are yet to apply and if your IELTS is still valid, it means that you took your IELTS after Nov 2009. This means you will definitely go on the new score system. This is just my opinion. Hopefully others will reply to confirm or not.
If I am correct, you should re-sit the IELTS if possible.

thanks
but i want also listen more ides or opnion ro decide to re apply for ielts or no?

any one face similer case like me?
