Tips on writing SOP

I have a degree in software engineering and I had applied to study IT Business Analysis at Cambrian college (Graduate Certificate). Got accepted and now planning to file for visa.
Can anyone please help me in explaining to the VO, how will the IT Business Analysis course benefit me for the future, as well as how shall I explain that it’s relevant to my previous study.

Yes I do know, but I thought if someone could guide me regarding the same. I do have a fair idea how it will help me progress in the future but if you know, please give me your opinions too. Thanks

Keep it short (one page), directly address each of the important points (no need for your life story), and write in plain English (don't use the word "shall").

I mean, ideally you should be the one coming up with ideas since it's your future. How long ago did you get your software engineering degree? If it's been more than a year or two, you need to explain why a graduate certificate offers skills or knowledge you don't already have from your work experience.
