HOPE THIS HELPS :)

Hi D-V27,
Congratulation. My parents aslo get a re medical test which is scheduled for the first week of december. My Mom is with me now in Canada and Dad is still at back home, so they are doing re medical separately. But the problem is if they there is a PPR with in a month. SO my question is is there any way to submitt one passport here at Ottawa and another at New Delhi VO.
Or they have to be together....

Thanks,
Y

It was done on Oct 20 and the status updated a week later that medical has passed in MyCiC
yes, it has option to submit passport in Canada

Here is the snippet of email stating that:

_________________________________________________________________________________

Submitting your passport(s) in Canada (CPC-O)

If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa.

You are required to send your document(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address with the additional following document:

· A self-addressed, pre-paid Xpresspost envelope from Canada Post.

Purchase your prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Xpresspostenvelope (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet.

Complete the mailing label showing your full mailing address in the “Deliver To” field.

Make a note of tracking numbers for each envelope.

Enclose this envelope along with your documents and a copy of this letter.

You can purchase a Canada Post shipping label on line at:

http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp

Please note that the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa will not return documents to a Canadian address via any other courier than a pre-paid self-addressed Expresspost envelope.

Submit all documents in a single package and send it to the following address:

CPC – Ottawa – PR

Nope, not heard anything as yet. Medicals would have been uploaded by Dr's office in YYZ around 14th Nov. After the false-positive passport request for PPR in April ( https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/tips-for-2016-future-pgp-applicants.333951/page-607#post-5996257 ) & CIC's ackn that it was a mistake , I will be sure only after i actually receive the visa .....
Good to know! Mine as well is done by Canadian Panel Physician, and was submitted on 17th of November. Nothing as of yet. *Fingers-crossed* Please keep each other update :)

As per email "If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the " (see they have made "all" bold) I think you need to send the passports together either from India or Canada but I can be wrong. It is better to call CIC and confirm.
But they have be together at the time of landing.

1.When can I expect PPR?Medical will expired in Jan-18.Can they will do processing before expiry of medical or remedical will be required?
Ans: No one can predict it. They can process it before medical expire as it has happened before but you can be asked for re-medical.

2.I am on visitor visa in Canada since Oct-17 under multiple entry visitor visa.My son is having PR since last 5 years (BC State).

3.Now my question is that can I submit passport in Canada if PPR come?If PPR is not coming then I have to go back in India and to wait for PPR and to do remedical if requested.
Ans: Yes, you can submit your passport in Canada. If no PPR, then they can ask for re-medical which can be done in Canada or India.

4.If PPR comes in Canada then I will send Passport within Canada & if does not come then I have to do all from India.
Ans: See 3
5.What is time limit to submit passport? Is it will be before medical expiry? If I send paaport then how many days required for stamping and to return passport?
Ans: It is 30 days from the date you get PPR. For stamping it can take up to 3 months.

6.What is maximum time to enter in Canada after getting passport?
Ans: It is usually before your medical will expire.

Hello CD,

I may not be the best person to ask this as your file is at Ottawa and I have been not fairly tracking files that are there. However, based on the past 2 years trend, Ottawa may have been the quickest among other offices in processing time, but have really random times when decisions are finalized throughout the year.

I agree with D-V27 as s/he is speaking from their experience :)

1) when can you expect PPR?
And: no one will be able to say the exact. IDEALLY every office wants to process before medical expires, and if medical is the only thing that's keeping you from landing then they can extend it too because your medicals has to be valid (I think) during landing. So I'm guessing if not done prior to that expiration, you may hear from Ottawa soon either in terms of doing re-medicals or your file being finalized.

2) can you submit passport in Canada?
Ans: yes, you can, especially when the letter you will receive during passport request may give you either info (either to submit in India or Canada). However, make sure your PPR letter states so when it arrives; if not, then check with an on-call agent or sending an e-mail to visa office that's processing your file. Talking from experience, people have been able to submit at their regional visa offices when their file was being processed by another office. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IN THE PPR LETTER FOR THE OPTIONS IT IS PROVIDING IN TERMS OF WHERE TO SUBMIT YOUR PP.

3) How long for stamping? And what is the time limit to submit?
Ans) mostly one is given 30 days to submit PP. the time it takes for them to stamp the PP once they receive it wildly varies from one office to another. Typically not more than a month but I could be wrong because as I said it varies from office to office. May want to check Ottawa timelines that are posted here on this forum for parent sponsorship category. FYI: your passport and medicals ( I think) has to be valid while providing them with your PP. PP I think has to be valid for 6 months but there have been exemptions in the past for that. PP also have to have a blank page for stamping I think.

4) how long you are given to land?
Ans) once your passport is returned, you will be given COPR (confirmation of PR) that has the expiry date on it. That expiry date is the time you get to land. As far as I know, remember I could be wrong, that expiry date either matches with expiry date of your medicals or passport whichever comes the first :)

Either expect a final decision to be made soon or a re-medical to be asked for in the near future. NoBODY here can tell you which but everyone speaks from their experiences :)
Hope it helps

how successful is the parents and sister sponsorship? If we apply, what are the likelyhood of us getting accepted because canada only accepts 10,000 per year which is too small.
