Your undertaking of all costs of 20 years for your wife still stands. Just because you separated doesnt mean you are no longer liable.
So you 3 people to support on your parents application.

I suggest you talk to a lawyer. No one here is an expert on special cases such as yours. Almost everyone is a cookie cutter regular applicant.

Undertaking for a spouse is 3 years, not 20.

Guys can you please help me on this bellow situation
I have selected to submit parents application.i sponsored my wife and she landed a year ago. Marriage did not last long and separated 3 mos ago. Had a partial custody with the child that was born here. Wife now is in shelter and "receiving" social assistance.but I haven't received any official information or notice or due bill from Canadian government to repay , I just came to know that she is in shelter that trough during our court hearing. Now My question is, does this affect the sponsorship for the parents? My status is now legally separated based on the custody paper. What are the possible problem in the future now that on sponsoring my parents considering i signed the undertaking for the spouse before.

My parents case was processed in London Visa office. Medicals and PCC were completed in in Jan 2017. Just got the passport request.

Yay ! Congrats BQM, glad to see that coming. Could you advise how the request came? Through MyCIC message or straight email?
Also, were you checking your MyCIC account as well? did background check status change to in process?

Were you asked to resubmit schedule A since age 18 and not 10 years only? If you did submit schedule A, how long after you received passport request?

You are not alone in this boat/ship there is long queue all waiting for further information from CIC. As you go through the spread sheets provided by ‘Rossie” for the application of 2014,15 & 16 you feel that there is no progress at all after Oct 2016 (when the Govt busy with Syrian refugee,), except few cases on 8&9 Feb and 8&9 March 2017 and then again pin drop silence. Don’t worry, be patient. Even there are so many, who’s medical and pcc validity already expired. It is the sole discretion of the Officer, he may extend the validity while requesting PPR as seen in some cases OR demand a fresh one.

Hi everyone,

My mother just got her passport back with landing Visa. Because she is with us in Canada, so I called CIC yesterday to book an appointment for landing in one of the IRCC offices within Canada (in our case, it is Vancouver). Does any one know a few questions I have below, because the CIC agent could not answer them through phone?

1) how soon to get the appointment date after calling CIC?
2) by which method will IRCC office contact me? By mail? Or by Email(Previous correspondences all by Email)? Or by phone?
3) how many days are usually between the date on which I receive the correspondence with the appointment date and the actual appointment date?

even my reply was same in the past for the people, but do we know any reason, Ottawa LVO was suppose to be fast, and i hardly see anyone from that location saying that they have received PPR

I think they are busy taking in 2017 applicants.

that worries me a lot
if you see for 2015 applicants when 2016 applications came, 2015 got slow down, i believe even worse now
now we are 2016 applicants, so 2017 applications are in, we might have the same situation...

they have 3 mon to fill out full package so CIC shouldn't be so busy now with 2017
