How it worked for one of my applications: besides specifying the number of family members correctly, I left the City and Country of Birth BOTH blank, and I used Application# and Family Name.
Try it.
That did not work for me. It asks for City and Country of Birth and marks it as mandatory required field.

It did not work for me when I used UCI# and Last Name –or any other combination, except for when I used Application# and Last Name then I was able to bypass those 2 fields. Go figure...

Ok. Will check that today. Thank you!

I wish they had better logic at the back to find the application.

Hi Everyone,

I sucessfully linked my application this morning after trying many ways. Following are the steps/info i chose to fill in order to find the application in the system

Application Category : Permanent Residence
Sub Category : Family Sponsorship(Parents & Grand Parents)

Application number & Family name

I skipped the part where we enter passport details and chose to enter principal applicants "PLACE Of BIRTH" & "COUNTRY OF BIRTH" (PLACE OF BIRTH NEEDS TO BE SAME AS YOU FILLED IN THE APPLICATION, THIS INCLUDES SPELLING AND CASE SENSITIVE LETTERS)

We tend to go by passport details however system searches based what you enter into application, please make sure you review your app before you enter any info to make sure you are entering correct info

Last piece of info is where the applicant intent to stay, Province, City etc

Thanks for sharing your experience.
The PP details are entered in the application form, so they can be definitely be used for search. It seems that what works for one of us does not necessarily mean it will work for the rest.
So your scenario is just another combination to take into consideration while trying to link the application.

Hello Friends,

Today I logged into ECAS and now it shows status as In Progress under Sponsorship Status.
When I click on In Progress, it shows me that - "We started processing your application on June 15, 2016.".

It shows that started processing on June 15 But I have not received any communication nor email or mail from CIC about the status.

I am 9:43 June 4 Purolator batch.

Any suggestions/thoughts

Thanks

I am in the same situation, when i login to ECAS with my credentials it says:

SponsorApplication Status: Decision Made
Permanent Residence Application Status: Application received

When i use my father credentials it says:

Permanent Residence Application Status : Application received

And when i click this link they said:

We send a correspondence on July 25th ...

But i or my parent not got any letter or email . Last email is the case is transferred to London Visa Office.. that's it..

There seems to be some kind of limbo with the NDVO.
For a while in July/August, it looked like they were racing to get the PCC and Schedule A and medicals...
Now all quiet on the Eastern front...
Puzzling.

When did they do the medical for their super visa? Was it done recently?

Harnit
Yes, in the month of May. I believe the medical results are valid for 6 months.

Do you know or did you notice if the status "Medical results have been received." was added to your e-Cas before or after your CIC account got updated with "Review of medical results Passed"?
Trying to figure out which one gets updated first, e-Cas or MyCIC account.

Hope you get PPR soon.

most people including myself were confused with the number of family members on the application.

the equation is : the sponsor + co-signer (if there is any) + how many people you are sponsoring , for example you as a sponsor + your wife as a co-signer + your mom and dad (if you are sponsoring both) = 4
+1
I could link the application by adding my existing family members to the total. So my parents (2) + my family member (4) = 6.

the "passed" was added before cic account gets updated with "Medical results have been received"

but this is not a general rule and it wont be always the same for everyone else ! it all depends on how they work internally i guess.

Usually how much time it takes to change status to pass from received?
Thank you
