Year Actuals Admitted
2012 21,815
2013 32,318
2014 18,150
2015 20,000 (this one is estimate)
I found the following numbers:

Backlog in 2011: 167,466
Processed in
2011 14,078
2012 21,778
2013 32,318
2014 18,200
2015 15,481

Based on math - we have 65,611 plus 10,000 from 2014 and 2015, and 10,000 from 2016. Not very promising with 20,000 plan for this year.

You are right. I also had a type in my message (long day). I wonder if backlog figure from 2011 and 2012 are correct. The reason I am saying is because if they are correct and if the backlog is at 133K, then how come a few 2014 files saw progress on their files.

Any how, we will know in few years I guess :)

Okk..I took my time and found these numbers as of October 5th, 2015. You can found the same in open.canada.ca....look for '00023' xls file.

Total number of PGP applications in CPC Mississauga and Ottawa = ~43K
Total number of PGP applications in CPC Mississauga and Ottawa AND LVOs = ~55K

This was in the press release today:

Reuniting more families

Reuniting families helps immigrants build successful lives in Canada. When families are reunited, it improves integration and economic outcomes for the immigrant while contributing to the development of Canada’s social, cultural and economic development.

The 2016 immigration levels plan is increasing admissions of sponsored spouses, partners and dependents to help reduce inventories and processing times, and is maintaining high immigration levels in the Parent and Grandparent Program.

IRCC is doubling the number of sponsorship applications for parents and grandparents that it will accept for processing to 10,000 a year. 20,000 admissions are planned under the Parent and Grandparent Program and by the end of 2016 it is expected that the backlog inventory will be reduced by approximately 15%.

Therefore mathematically 85% are still in the backlog so 15% of x is 20000visas. x=133333.33

Hence my assumption approximately 130000 parents and dependents waiting for visas as of today.
I hope they made a typo. It should have been 50%, not 15%. When you use 50% for calculation it makes sense, not including files received after 2014, they have 40k people backlog. Now with 20k visas issued this year the backlog will go down by 50%. So the total current inventory at the end of 2016 will be 20k people received by Nov 2011 and then all new applications after the 2 year pause. I can't believe we can still hold our patience if they actually had over 100k people waiting in PGP stream. It's unacceptable. With this kind of quota nothing will change to our stream. Time to be louder folks.

Congrats. Actually as much as I am happy for you, I feel bad about myself as one of Purolator 9:43 batch people. Apparently they have lied!

Where did you get this 15% figure exactly??

I'm from the Purolator/9:43 batch. I see the following in the tracking details:

Jan 4, 2016 9:43 a.m. Mississauga (east/est), ON Shipment delivered to TAMMY at: MAIL ROOM of CASE PROCESSING CENTRE 2 ROBERT SPECK PKY L4Z1H8
Jan 4, 2016 8:58 a.m. Mississauga (east/est), ON Appointment required for delivery, receiver will be contacted to reschedule
Jan 4, 2016 7:48 a.m. Mississauga (east/est), ON On vehicle for delivery

The "appointment required for delivery..." entry is likely a lie as I believe there is no such thing.

Has anyone called Purolator to complain?

Does anyone speak Chinese? It sounds like this guy claims he did not see the Purolator truck there: goo.gl/gNV5iW (sry.. I can't post links so just add http)
