Hi,
I've searched all over for this information and hoping some landed people can help me. My wife and I are doing an Outland application (out of the Lima Office). We have AOR2 at this point and from what we can tell, are hoping for a DM/PPR any week now. We have also just submitted a B-2 US Tourist Visa application for her so she can fly back through the US and go down when we travel from time to time. Now we're worried that we could end up getting DM/PPR before her interview with the US Consulate. When you do the B-2, it looks like it takes them three days from your appointment to get process your application and then they courier your passport back to you.
My question is when you get the passport request letter, how long do they give you two send the passport? Is there a due date?
From what I understand, you have up to one year once you get your PR visa to land and obtain your card. But we just want to know that if we have a DM/PPR, that we may have to wait to send in the passport. At this point it will be like one month until the B-2 is complete. Woiuld love to hear any other experiences on B2/PR application situations!
