Timing to start an application

Hello guys,
My application for a student visa was refused about a week ago. And I hope on applying in the coming days, maybe 24th/25th . Problem is my uni course start at 3rd of January. My question is, should I still go ahead, or applying next summer instead?

No, how do you expect to get a visa in 5 days ? Not to mention it's Christmas and New year's and the embassy will be closed till 28th I think . Go for the summer semester.
