timing of PCC

Hello folks...

I just need some advice on PCC timing.

I have all documents ready except PCC. Now to get PCC at VFS, they want my passport for 4-6 weeks. I have impending travel in 4 weeks and hence cannot initiate PCC process now. My travel will for 4 weeks.

Now let say I submit my application without PCC some time next week. How long CIC takes to let me know that they need PCC? and how much time they give it to submit that?

If I do math correct, I may apply sometime 2nd week in JAN and it takes 3-4 weeks to get PCC. I may able to have PCC by end of FEB or MARCH 1st week.

is that good enough?

According to CIC, If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested.

It is not possible to say how long it may take to get a request from VO after submission of application.
