Done, I just called CRA and asked for Option C... They are mailing it out to me tomorrow and they say up to 10 business days. Make sure you verify your address so there are no possible issues.

It is in fact different than notice of assessment.

Cheers,

Shawn

Notice of Assessment is not Option C. You have to give Canada Revenue a call and order it. It will arrive in a week....

In November of 2009 I went to Rev Can and they printed my Option C while I waited for 2008. Well we did not file till 2010 so a few days before leaving to visit her to bring all our paperwork to finish with her, I went into Rev Can to get my 2009 Option C and they said Oh you have to make an appointment now and we will get it for you in a week lol .. So I ended up sending in my actual Notice Of Assessment for 2009. (as that is all a Option C printout is anyways) They returned my original NOA with my letter of Approval of Sponsorship. The appear the same, and well I was approved by sending NOA rather then Option C.

Interesting... how can the rules be so different for everyone?? Meaning...Option C needed for one...but accept NOA for another??

I assume since I will have to apply with my NOA for 2008 I can call today and order it and not have to wait till Feb??

Like everything in the application, you take a risk if you supply something different than what they ask.

What they specified on the phone is that Option C is more detailed than Notice of Assessment. I'll play it safe just to be sure.

Sorry meant NOA for 2009... :P

I am going to send an Option C just to be safe too.... rather have too much than too little and risk delays!
