posting this on behalf of a friend who has applied under CEC (spouse is also added as a dependent), wondering if anyone else is in the same boat, he is wondering how much longer it'll take for the processing to be completed.

Background check : N/A
He called IRCC and they said background verification is in progress and cannot be given any timelines. both PGWP and Visa has been expired, he is currently under the implied statues.
