Friends, below was the post on August 30, 2012, 02:14:06 pm from one of the applicants PCKUMAR.

"So I would suggest for future applicants, if you want to receive the PCC faster, apply for both Birth Certificate and PCC together from Indian consulate eventhough you already have a birth certificate. The amount($40 including $20 fees for VFS) you pay for only PCC through VFS is the same amount that you pay for both(PCC & Birth Certificate each $20) through Indian consulate. Hope this helps for people who are planning to apply for PCC in the future and wish to receive it quickly".

Did anyone else try this way?

friends, please update this thread with your experience.

i applied for PCC from vfs on 19th october, but still in wait...

they are not answering anything...this is only document which is pending to send my file... What should I do now please help...

Go ahead and send your application. PCC is a non mandatory doc in the initial phase of processing. CIC will themselves call for a PCC at a later stage when required. Optionally, you can also send PCC yourself quoting AOR after you receive the acknowledgement.

Yes you can send PCC at later stage but if you could send along with your application ...nothing better than that.

I applied for PCC on Oct 11 and got in 6 weeks + 5 days.

I would suggest you to go to CGI on 6 weeks +1th day with a ticket itinerary and tell then you have to travel in 2 weeks time and you need passport. They will definitely help.

I got my PCC and passport in 6 weeks 5 days.

Please try it out.

Hi Bahadur,

Thank you for your reply,

But I applied through VFS brampton office and they are not willing to listen anything, they said you can withdraw your application!

Yes VFS is useless ..you should not spend a extra second ...with them. I realized it after my first call.

You should go to General consulate of India.

Is this the two id's where we can do the follow up's for Indian PCC?

conscon@cgitoronto.ca
vc-cpv@cgitoronto.ca

Please confirm. I have sent out an email stating my situation, just wanted to know if I have sent this to the correct email address.
