Hi anyone applying for closed work permits from US? What is your timeline? Are you still waiting?

I have applied for a closed work permit from US. Here is my timeline.
Application submitted: July 4th.
Biometrics done: July 12th.

Since then, there is no update. And I have no idea when this will be processed. Recently, the official processing time has been delayed to 16 weeks (it was 10 weeks when I submitted my materials). Is the wait really this excrutiatingly long?
