timeline for chc-london after appeal allowed

hi

i did my medical yesterday at ahmedabad. they charge me extra 700rs for post to london. as far they said me that medical will be sent them in 15 days. so now i am completing imm forms and pcc.

could you please tell me what is police verification certificate? is it same like police clearance certificate because when i went to passport office in surat,gujarat today they said u need pvc so i am confused. also they said its require for canada and usa both.

what kind of document we need for pcc? did embassy asked u something like pvc or just pcc?

its part of the process for the pcc .. If I remember correctly, you go to the passport office and start the process which then goes to the police station. In Pune they were not all that fast in sending the application to the police station. The police verification certificate is when the police come to your home to verify that you live at the address you provided. So once they verifiy it then the process can continue. That has to be done before you can get the pcc from the passport office. Make sure you check on it often because they wont be too fast unless you offer them a bit of "motivation" to move things a bit faster. They give you a file number that you can track online, but nothing was happening so he went to the office every day to check on it. I wouldnt pay attention to the tracking thing because even after my husband had the pcc in his hand his status change didnt change until 4 days after the fact. The pvc is all part of the process dont worry, its not something extra.

i actually want just pcc nothing else because embassy from london only asked pcc from india not pvc. its just when i went to passport office they wrote thats y i was confused.

and for pcc police doesnt come to your home they just check in them record whether you have any criminal record or not?then they issue pcc.

what does embassy asked you pvc and pcc both? or just pcc? and what did u do for pcc? what document did u submit?

if i just apply for pcc because chc london just require pcc not pvc from my side? still i need to go for this pvc process because that police come to your home and check and all that.

how did your husband apply for this? and what embassy asked you? pvc or pcc?

embassy doesnt ask to my knowledge. they just ask for pcc. But I think if you have recently moved then you have to do the pvc as i think its a requirement to getting the pcc. I really dont know the answer to that sorry. We had to go through delhi. He had it done in his home town the first time so there was no verification needed by the police. But he moved to Pune so I thought that had something to do with it.

all I know is he went to the passport office applied for the pcc. he had to have proof of address and letter from some soceity. It went to the police station, the police came to his house to verify his address and then it got signed and went to the passport office again and he went to pick it up. My husbands passport is not knewly issued it expires in 2014. So I am not really sure but if I get to talk to him tonight I will ask him about it. sorry I cant be certain on things

Finally got the passport request. Our ecas doesnt say medicals received or anything just says the same thing its been saying since june. But atleast we know they are working on it.

****** WHAT FILE ARE U INPUTING ON THE ECAS ? THE 8 DIGIT ONE ? OR THE ONE THAT STARTS WITH A B ???? HOW LONG AFTER MY APPEAL WAS ALLOWED I WILL BE ABLE TO SEE ANY UPDATES ?

Our appeal was won in March 2010. The file arrived in april in delhi. they started processing on June 11th. We didnt get a single update until Oct 12th. It said medicals received and decision made all at the same time.

If your appeal has not started being processed yet it wont show up on ecase showing anything new. You get a new Bxxxx file number so the old one will not work once the new one is issued.

can anyone tell me what to expect now after i submitted all necessary docs to chc-london? my medical done in india sep 1st week by 15th sep medical has been sent and all update imm forms, pcc has been sent as well and it has been reached chc-london by 1st week of october.

now how long i will have to wait for because the letter i receive first time they specify 3to 4 months for procedure.how long do they take in background/security check? if anyone dealing with london canadian high commision please share your experience.

all that is left is the passport request. Relax it wont be much longer you should have the request any day now. Once they ask for your passport they are ready pretty much ready to stamp it. We had noticed on our ecas that the medicals had been received and decision made. My husband received the passport with visa the same week. so It wont take much longer now. You could have your visa this month but for certain you will be with your spouse long before christmas holidays. Hang in there its almost over.
