Timeline between document request ---> DM ?

We just received an email requesting our FBI report. I am just curious if that gives me a hint where we may be in the process. Anyone have a timeline from document request to DM?

have you checked the ottawa spreasheet? that will really be the best way to estimate. it's really impossible for anyone to tell exactly how long it will take since it depends on each officer, how they handle each application and what specifically was requested. sometimes it's a couple of weeks, sometimes it longer, sometimes its shorter. if you go through the spreadsheet, you will be able to calculate the "average" time between doc request and dm is.

Thank you. I have looked at the 2015 outland and the November but they were not very helpful. An Ottawa spreadsheet would be, like you said. I haven't found one though, I asked a while back on the Ottawa thread but didn't have luck. Do you have a link?

It wasn't the FBI check, but we had documents requested Jan 13 - we just got DM last week.. 2 months.

I think you can estimate a month added on for a document request, which is why you want to avoid them. But I've heard of things going faster, like CDNPR said, it just depends and no one can say for sure. But just using an educated guess, the FBI request isn't something that needs to be evaluated like a proof request would be, so I think you'll be on your way to DM soon ;D.

Thank you!! I believe my FBI prints should be being processed this week. Just keep checking my credit card. Hopefully you are correct. I was thinking that they are probably finished reviewing my other portions like proof of relationship. Fingers crossed that I get my FBI report ASAP.
