Dear All!
I have a question on the CIC requirement to mention all the time spent in the army or other paramilitary service.
In my home country we have a mandatory military service, which is two years (one need to serve as private during that term). However, when my military service time came, I was granted 5 years contract, during which I was working in the ministry, performing purely civil service duties. Thus, I had a military rank, but there was nothing military in my job, and all I did there falls under my primary NOC code. So, as far as I understand I need to mention in my application that I was in the army until the date I retired from there. But is it OK if I claim points for an employment which was in army?
