AtOrlando_Best. Please did IRCC request fBI or Police report from you during your peocessing?
No. I understand they require that only if you have been to the USA and stayed beyond 6 months. Generally, they will ask for police report of any country where you have been to and stayed more than 6 months.

Congratulations! Your status as a permanent resident is confirmed. An IRCC case worker will send you a message with further information; the message will come from an email address ending in @cic.gc.ca. To avoid missing our emails, check your junk or spam folder.

Your electronic Confirmation of Permanent Resident (eCoPR) is available to download in your IRCC Permanent Residence Portal account.

The long wait is over at last. Thanks to everybody here who lent a support/advice or two. I pray you all get good news soon.

What do you want the passport for? I hope you know you can’t use unless you want to put yourself into trouble.
What does that even mean?
Why wouldn't someone want thier passport back?
You can't go back to "home country" but you can travel other places. Why would u be in trouble.

you are not allowed to use your country passport at all. That is the reason a refugee travel document exist. It is considered as a valid travel document just like a passport

Hello guys, please do I need to do RCMP police clearance as I have submitted my PR application last month and have received temporary application number from Mississauga. I hope this might help save processing time.

I flew directly to Canada and did came in from the US.

Thanks.

no you don’t need rcmp clearance
If you did claim asylum in that process your fingerprints were taken so don’t need

Hello guys, can I check my application status using the AOD number?
I tried to use my UCI but it always says there's something incorrect but i'm sure it's not!
I applied back in October 2021 by the way
if nothing is coming up on ECAS then that means they have not started processing your application you can try application number but uci should be fine also

I actually claimed asylum while inside Canada after few weeks not at the airport. Is it still the same thing that I don’t need the RCMP clearance.? Thanks

You don’t need to apply for any PR card. That’s why you uploaded pictures on the portal. It will be used to prepare your PR card which will be sent to you by mail.

You cannot even use your passport to travel to another country unless you want to run the risk of losing your PR. You sought for Canada’s protection because you claimed your country couldn’t protect you. If you resort to your country’s passport, it means you have reverted to your country’s protection and that you’re comfortable with that. The Canadian government’s Immigration Minister can come against you and you may subsequently lose your PR status.
