I believe everything should be processed within 12 weeks, either new or old applications. They seem to want to review as many applications as possible, to allow students attend this fall semester!
So, in my honest opinion, I believe that 12 weeks in general but we should see soon!

some countries have 3 weeks / 7 weeks / 5 weeks and even 2 weeks process. 12 weeks is the maximum time it will take especially for fall 2021 applicants.

if your application is smooth and everything is fine it should take around 8 weeks. dont forget collecting and submitting passport time

I agree! It should be like that!

As the message states, the IRCC website now reflects a standard processing time for all, irrespective to the country you are applying from.

Does it apply to the ones who has already applied or only for new applications moving forward?

That a TATs, maximum of 12 week but does not reflect the actual in some case. Some applications go beyond 12 weeks pending due to other factors. imo they use to evaluate efficiency rate internally...but in most case they issue decision within the period

London office was saying 5 weeks until this latest universal update. I submitted my biometrics on 20th April, so should have an answer by end of May at the latest. If not, then they've slowed things up (or indeed there is a problem with my application). I shall keep you all advised.

did u check ur eligiblity status ? mine was updated today and i applied in 15 april my country have 12 weeks processing times. i guess there should be an update in your account now

Hi! I have the same question. I applied on February 17, I took the bio on February 24, then I was asked for additional documents on March 29, since then no update (I have not been asked for the medical exams), I don't know what date they will take as a reference to count the 12 weeks.

since they asked for extra documents. then your application will be delayed a bit. what did they ask if you don't mind ? i think as for now they will prioritize application that will be made until 17 MAY for Fall

Nothing updated for me. Still waiting for them to check my eligibility status etc. Will update as things progress. Good luck to all!
