I paid my rprf on 12th August, 2017 but still haven't received any further information. How long does it take normally??

Haven't you received any receipt or PPR?
PPR could take longer. When is your AOR?
Are you still within 6 months timeframe?

I got AOR on 17 June, 17. Medical also shows approved in July. And they asked for rprf in August which I made the payment for on 12 August but after that there is no update. It only shows your application is in progress.

Well, you are still within the 6 months processing time and stressing yourself for no reason.
Take a step back and let the nice people in CIC process your file.
Do not worry about not getting any updates.
I did not get any updates and had to wait 178 days to get my PPR.
Your PPR will come soon too.
