Time for police clearance certificate from INDIAN embassy in USA

If anyone have experience, how long does INDIAN embassy in USA take to issue police certificate.
I have received ITA and would like to move fast.

Does passport size photo works for the police clearance certificate? Thanks

Yes any recent photo will work. I have applied for PCC from Indian embassy in Atlanta last week. Was told processing time is 1 week minimum or longer. Will update once I have passports back. Some folks from Chicago have reported getting PCC same day (most likely for passports issued by the embassy)
