Time for assessment of sponsor for sponsoring wife.

I have submitted file to CIC for PR of my wife at the beginning of this month. What will I expect from CIC to get my first stage completed which is sponsors evaluation.
Do I get any email for that or else.?Because it states evolution time of 35 days now.It is 60 days before. How I come to about the status of my file if it is being processed or not as I didn't get any mail from CIC about my application is received or not ?
