Time between PPR and Landing

Hi All

I have the following queries, and would request anyone with an asnwer to please help

1. What is the Minimum Time (as per law) that needs to be given to an applicant post PPR for completing his/her landing process.
2. per your knowlwdge what is the least time an applicant has been given to complete his/her landing
3. Is it true that the Medicals is valid only for an year and if approved applicant should land before the completion of this time.

1. You answered your 1st question with your last. Your COPR will be valid for 1 year after the date of the medicals or the expiry of the passport whichever comes first.
2. Some people have had as short as 2 weeks. That is those that didn't want to do another medical.

I have received my visa with validity until: 15 July 2015. Does that mean I have to do my landing anytime before this date? Actually due to some reasons, I want to delay my landing process. Do I get PR status after landing or after COPR? From when will my 3 years count for retaining PR will start? Thanks.

1. Yes, you have to land before July 15th, it won't be extended. "Use it or lose it"
2. It is 2 years residency and starts the day you "land" and runs for 5 years.

I want to delay it till I receive my OWP which is in progress. Should get it by end of this month. I just hope by delaying it a month wont affect my PR.

Are you in Canada ? you can just flagpole at the border.
Once you land, all your other work permits and visas become void.

Why r u waiting for OWP ?? It becomes useless after you land.

If your OWP application is not yet opened, there is a chance CIC will refund the fee once you become PR.
