Only days "legally" in Canada count, with credit given at the rate of 0.5 "residency day" per legally, physically present, day. This is applied only to the 730 days before the date that you became a PR. Therefore, you can claim up to 365 "residency days" for that period of time, and only if those days are within the eligibility period.
